About Bobby
Bobby helps families, property owners and business owners in Branson and across the Ozarks with estate planning, real estate and business law. Clients get plain language, a written flat fee before any work begins, and a reply within 24 hours.
He has practiced law for 15 years. For more than a decade he advised companies, funds and families on international transactions from Asia: acquisitions, ownership structures, trusts, real estate purchases and compliance. That work taught him to read a contract closely, to get title and financing right the first time, and to explain complicated arrangements to people who don't live in them. He brings the same care to a will or trust, a lake-house closing, or a buy-sell agreement between partners.
Bobby holds a J.D. from the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Law and an LL.M. from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He speaks English and Chinese and serves on the Board of Governors of the American Chamber of Commerce US. He has lived in and served the Ozarks for more than a decade, including the years he spent advising clients abroad.
Earlier experience, applied locally
- Real estate purchases. Advised a U.S. real estate fund on buying hotel properties. The same review of contracts, title and financing now goes into home, commercial and lakefront purchases.
- Family wealth and trusts. Advised families on trust structures and on investing in U.S. property. That experience now supports estate plans and trusts for local families.
- Buying and selling businesses. Advised companies on acquisitions, sales and ownership structures. He now helps local owners form, sell and hand off their businesses.
- Compliance. Counseled clients on anti-money-laundering, anti-corruption and tariff rules, which now supports local businesses that import, export or work with foreign partners.
