This site is general information
The information on this website is general and educational. It is not legal advice and should not be relied on as legal advice for your situation. Laws change, and the right answer depends on the facts. Please talk to a lawyer before acting on anything you read here.
Descriptions of our practice areas show where we focus. They are not a promise about the outcome of any matter.
No attorney-client relationship from the site
Visiting this website, sending us a message, calling or booking a consultation does not by itself create an attorney-client relationship. That relationship begins only when we agree to represent you and you sign a written engagement agreement that describes the work and the fee.
Until then, please do not send confidential or time-sensitive information through the site, by email or by text message. Information you send before we agree to represent you may not be protected as a client confidence in every situation. If you have a deadline, such as a court date or a closing, call us right away.
We may be unable to take your matter, for example because of a conflict of interest or because it falls outside the areas we handle. We will tell you if so, and we encourage you to seek other counsel promptly so that you do not miss any deadlines.
Attorney advertising
The choice of a lawyer is an important decision and should not be based solely upon advertisements. This website may be considered attorney advertising under the Missouri Rules of Professional Conduct (Supreme Court Rule 4).
The attorney responsible for the content of this website is Bobby Afshar, Franklin Ellis, 500 W Main St, Branson, MO 65616.
We do not claim to be specialists or experts in any area of law, and we do not claim certification unless it is granted by an organization approved for that purpose. Descriptions of past experience are general. Prior experience does not guarantee a similar result in any matter. Client details are confidential.
Where we practice
Bobby Afshar is licensed to practice law in Missouri. Jacob Blacklock, Of Counsel, is licensed in Texas and is not admitted to practice law in Missouri. Information on this site is directed to people and businesses in Missouri and the Ozarks region. Nothing here is an offer to provide legal services in any place where the firm is not permitted to do so. Immigration law is federal law. Real estate and estate matters are governed largely by the law of the state where the property or the person is located.
Fees
We describe our fees in general terms on this site. Your fee will be set out in your written engagement agreement. Where we quote a flat fee, the agreement will say what it covers and which costs are separate, such as government, court and filing fees. Any timeline shown on this site is a general range, not a commitment.
Client reviews and testimonials
Any reviews shown on this site are the opinions of the people who wrote them. They do not guarantee or predict a result in your matter. Reviews are shown with the reviewer’s permission and have been reviewed by the firm for accuracy.
Links to other websites
This site may link to websites run by others, such as maps, government agencies and professional organizations. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement.
Intellectual property
The text, design and images on this site belong to the firm or are used with permission. You may view and print pages for your own personal use. Please do not copy, republish or sell the content without our written permission.
Limits of liability
We try to keep this site accurate and current, but we cannot promise that it is complete or error-free. To the fullest extent the law allows, the firm is not liable for loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, the information on this site. This does not limit the firm’s responsibilities to its clients under a signed engagement agreement or under the Rules of Professional Conduct.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri. Any dispute about the use of this website is to be brought in the courts located in Taney County, Missouri.
