How we collect, use and protect information when you visit this website or contact the firm.
Last updated: November 2, 2026
Our approach
We collect only what we need to respond to you and run this website. We do not sell your personal information. This policy covers this website and the way we handle messages you send us before we represent you. Once you become a client, our duty of confidentiality under the Missouri Rules of Professional Conduct and the terms of your engagement agreement govern your information.
What we collect
Information you give us:
- Name, phone number, email address and a description of your matter when you use our contact or scheduling forms, call, email or text us
- Documents you choose to send us
- Your preferences for how we reach you
Information collected automatically:
- Device and browser type, pages visited, the website that referred you, and the approximate area you are visiting from
- Cookies and similar technology used for basic site operation, analytics (Google Analytics) and our online scheduling tool (Clio Scheduler)
How we use information
- To reply to your questions and schedule consultations
- To check for conflicts of interest before we can speak with you in detail
- To provide legal services if you become a client
- To keep the site secure, fix problems and understand which pages are useful
- To meet legal and professional obligations
Before you become a client
Please do not include confidential details, such as account numbers, Social Security numbers or sensitive facts about your case, in a website form, email or text message until we have agreed to represent you. Contacting us does not create an attorney-client relationship. See our disclaimer and terms.
Who we share information with
We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only with:
- Service providers who help us run the site, scheduling, phone, email, text messaging and document storage, under terms that limit their use of the information
- Professionals we involve with your permission, such as an accountant or title company
- Courts, agencies or others when the law requires it or to protect legal rights
Text messages and email
If you give us your mobile number, we may text you about your inquiry or appointment. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time. We do not use your number for marketing without your consent, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We may send emails about your matter or, with your permission, firm updates. Every marketing email will include a way to unsubscribe.
Cookies and analytics
Cookies are small files stored on your device. Some are needed for the site to work. Others help us see how the site is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not work as well. Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” or similar signal. Our site does not currently respond to these signals.
Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view and how long you stay, and sends it to Google’s servers. We use the reports to understand how people use the site and to improve it. We do not use Google Analytics to collect names, contact details or the contents of your messages, and we ask that you do not put personal information in page addresses or search fields. Google may use this data under its own privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy). You can opt out by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout) or by blocking cookies in your browser.
How we protect information
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards, including encryption of the site connection and limited staff access. No method of sending or storing information is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a breach affecting your information, we will notify you as the law requires.
How long we keep information
We keep inquiry information only as long as we need it for the purposes above. Missouri’s Rules of Professional Conduct require us to keep a client’s file, and our trust-account records, for six years after the representation ends or, for trust-account records, after the last disbursement of funds, whichever is later. We keep records longer if a claim or other legal matter requires it. Your engagement agreement describes how we handle your file.
Your choices
You may ask us to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold from website inquiries, unless we must keep it by law or for professional reasons. You may opt out of texts or marketing emails at any time. To make a request, contact us using the details below.
Children
This site is for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top of the page shows the latest version. Material changes will be posted here.
